An unusual and delicate flower in the Iris family, Blue-eyed grass bears 1-5 steel-blue flowers with tiny yellow centers at the end of each leaf-like stem from May through July, leaves are stout and grass-like - less than 1/4" wide and up to 1' long, the plant has a loosely tufted appearance, average moisture, full sun, 1' tall.
Another identifying characteristic is that leaves are narrowly winged and the spathes usually have a purple tinge.
