Most flower clustered near the apex of the stem. Stem smooth. Leaves with 3 leaflets. Leaflets ovate-elongate, crowded close to the stem. Plant 1 to 3 feet in height. |
Distribution: Throughout most of eastern North America. |
Habitat: Wandlike Bush Clover is found in dry woods and forest clearings. |
Flowering period: July to September. |
Similar Species: The flowers of Bush Clover are on long flower stalks, not close to the stem. The leaflets of Slender Bush Clover are slender and elongate. Stueve's Bush Clover is densely downy, not smooth. |
