In the Gorge along the river, these bright yellow waxy one-inch wide flowers add a striking touch of color to wet sandy banks. The lower leaves have all their leaflets stalked. Leaflets are normally very wide - 2 to 4 inches. A flower of the early spring found in wet areas.
