The flowers of this springtime plant have pale yellow petals that are the same size as the sepals. The stem carrying the leaves which are deeply cleft into 3's is hairy. This plant grows from 6 to 24 inches tall and loves damp woods and brooksides. Look for it along the river in the Gorge.
