Campanula divaricata
Tiny blue bell-shaped flowers dangling in clusters from slender stems are the hallmark of this species. The flowers are only about 1.4 inch long and have a stamen that protrudes out of the bell. The lance-shaped leaves are sharply toothed. Preference of this plant that grows to 3 feet is for woods and rocky slopes. Bloom is in the summer and fall. Masses of southern harebell were found on rocky slopes above Ramsey's Draft.
