Small-flowered or Pale-flowered leafcup

Identification: Flowers with a whitish-yellow disk. Rays few (0 to 5), short and small, or absent. Stems and undersides of leaves hairy. Lower leaves very large, roughly triangular, but with triangular, sharp pointed lobes. Base of leaf usually not running onto the leaf stem as wings. Plant 3 to 10 feet in height.
Distribution: Southern Canada and New England and Minnesota southward to Georgia and Arkansas.
Habitat: Small-flowered Leafcup is commonly found in wet woods and along valleys and ravines.
Flowering period: June to October.
