Flowers grow out of the leaf axils on long stems that sometimes droop. Usually there is one flower for each leaf. Leaves are essentially stemless and come in whorls of 4 or 5 along the smooth stem. The yellow flowers often have dark streaks or dots and can be up to one-half inch wide.
