The dried leaves and flower heads make and excellent strong tasting tea. Generally the flavor is of spearmint, but often can be as strong as peppermint - flavor can be variable.  This plant does well in gardens, either grown from seed or transplanted from the wild and is not invasive because of a lack of runners.
