Mountain or Wideleaf Phlox

Phlox latifolia

The flower petal color may be red, white or blue. Leaves are simple and opposite. The edge of the leaf is entire with no teeth or lobes. The plant has a creeping habit lying close to the ground and blooms in May or June.
