Matricaria matricarioides
From Mountain Nature
This common wildflower is found along roadsides, and other disturbed areas. Its alternate leaves are finely divided, up to 5 cm in length. The flower heads are yellow, and lacking any petals (ray florets). A squeeze of the flower head or leaves gives off a distinctive aroma of green apples or pineapple, hence the common name. There are usually numerous flower heads on one plant.
