Lechea tenuifolia
Flowers are reddish in loose, branched clusters. The tiny flowers have three petals, but rarely open. The leaves are very narrow and only about one inch long at their longest even at the base of the plant. Plant height is 4 to 12 inches. They often cluster in colonies so that a reddish cast is seen among the green. This member of the Rockrose family blooms in late spring and summer.
