Erigeron pulchellus

Identification: Flowers large (1 to 1.5 inches in diameter) for the genus with numerous (50 to 100) ray florets closely packed. Ray florets white to pink-blue. Flower heads few for the genus (1 to 5). Stem hairy with erect hairs. Upper leaves lanceolate, hairy. Lower leaves in a weak rosette, hairy, with long basal stalks, and outer margin bluntly toothed. Plant spreading by runners, commonly forming colonies of plants. Plant 0.5 to 1.5 inches in height.
Distribution: Southern Canada, southward to Florida and Texas.
Habitat: Robin Plantain is a species of open woods and fields.
Flowering period: April to June.
