Identification: Plant wandlike with the flowers arising in small clumps from the leaf axils. Flowers white, not yellow or yellow-orange. The leaves are elongate, ovate with a smooth outer marign and covered with fine hairs. Plant 1 to 3 feet in height.
Distribution: Throughout eastern North America.
Habitat: White Goldenrod is found in dry, open woods.
Flowering period: July to October.
Similar Species: White Goldenrod is the only white species of goldenrod in eastern North America.
