Anchusa arvensis
This little plant almost looks like forget-me-not, at least the flower shape with its 5 petals and blue color with a yellowish-white center closely resembles that plant. However, the small bugloss is almost entirely covered with short hairs with the flowers appearing in small clusters. A major difference between this plant and forget-me-not can be found at the base of the flowers. In the small bugloss the flower tube is bent at the base. Leaves are rather long for a plant that only reaches a height of 2 feet at the most. Bloom time is in the summer in dry fields and waste places.
