Identification: Flowers white or greenish white, usually with 5 "petals" ("petals" are actually sepals), and located on elongate flowering stalks. Fruits ovate to slightly elongate. Leaves roughly divided into 3 parts and veins strongly divided. Number of leaves per stem 2 to 4. Plant 2 to 3 feet in height.
Distribution: Throughout most of eastern and central North America.
Habitat: Tall Thimbleweed is found in dry, open woods.
Flowering period: July to August.
